Pharmacy Technician I

The Pharmacy Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for performing non-sterile compounding and central pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role involves preparing medication doses, responding to nursing requests, and demonstrating a basic understanding of medication and pharmacy operations.
Essential Functions- Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous drugs and repackages medications using pharmaceutical mathematic calculations for pharmacist approval.
- Inventories supplies by checking for shortages, rotating stock, and removing expired medications.
- Accurately prepares and distributes medications.
- Documents compounding and medications in computer systems.
- Runs basic pharmacy operation reports.
- Responds to nursing requests by distributing doses to patients, successfully following security protocols.
- Performs basic controlled substance distribution and delivery.
- Fills medication trays and ensures accuracy.
- Utilizes pharmacy resources for accurate documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy, or Licensed as Pharmacy Intern by the California Board of Pharmacy, or Licensed as a Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy.

CompensationCompensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $81,972.80 to $91,416.00
