We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in developing cutting-edge products.

As an Electrical Engineer at Madgetech, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing electrical systems and components for our state-of-the-art data loggers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware design, embedded systems, circuit simulation, programming languages (C/C++, Python), PCB layout, and troubleshooting.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary development team to bring new products from concept to production while ensuring all products meet safety standards, technical specifications, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, design, debug and test electronic circuits and components for data loggers
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure product reliability
  • Ability to design low power digital and analog circuits
  • Develop firmware for embedded systems utilizing C/C++ programming language
  • Perform PCB layout design in accordance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with software & mechanical engineers to ensure integration of electrical components into overall system design
  • Collaborate with other engineers to integrate hardware and software components
  • Continuously research industry trends and emerging technologies to improve product performance
  • Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as needed
  • Contribute innovative and efficient design techniques to allow rapid development of new product models and features
  • Ensure all designs and processes comply with safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in electronic design
  • Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design principles
  • Experience with product development and testing
  • Knowledge of software design tools for electrical schematics, simulation and PCB layout
  • Working knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, common communication protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, RS232, USB) including wireless protocols (e.g. Bluetooth, LoRa)
  • Proficiency in C and assembly language programming for embedded applications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experienced with supporting environmental testing internally or externally at NRTLs (National Recognized Testing Laboratories) is a plus
