Job Summary:

As a Cashier at UW-Madison concession stands, you will be responsible for performing sales transactions, interacting with customers, and counting inventory during Badger Sporting Events. You will also perform general food service work and maintain sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sales transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter all sales into the register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
  • Follow standard procedures for sales and customer interactions.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Observe customer purchases to ensure quality of product served.
  • Replenish condiments, food, and other beverages while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure alcohol is served in compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be willing to earn ServSafe certification.
