Job Description

Fisica, Inc. is seeking a skilled Microwave Engineering Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting microwave components, sub-assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.

This role requires the use of complicated drawings and specifications, advanced mathematics, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and checking accuracy of standard microwave bench test equipment.
  • Performing microwave tests, taking measurements, and tuning products to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshooting components, sub-assemblies, final products, and/or systems and test equipment to determine cause and remedy of malfunctions.
  • Evaluating, testing, and recommending commercial test equipment for use in the production test department.
  • Providing work direction to lower-level technicians.
  • Performing data review and trend analysis on antenna data.
  • Testing, evaluating, and recommending special-purpose test fixtures as required.
  • Performing maintenance, repair, and/or fabrication of production test equipment (production and prototype).
  • Assisting in the verification, development, and documentation of test procedures and special applications as required by interpreting product specifications.

Requirements:

  • An AA degree in electronics or 2 years of specialized trade or military training and/or a minimum of eight to ten years of related experience.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel on occasion.
  • Good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
  • Sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
  • Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and squat.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds close to the body repetitively.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $53,000 - $99,000 per year, based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
