About the Role

We are seeking an Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our team at I-State Truck Center in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a critical role that requires strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing parts sales with existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in your assigned territory. You will solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services, and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.

You will also assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support, acting as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

About the Job Duties

  • The primary duties of this position will be to actively promote part sales of our heavy-duty truck line in the assigned territory.
  • Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share and sales of truck parts.
  • Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

  • A self-starter who can identify the strengths present in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan.
  • Proven background in sales.
  • Clear driving record.
  • Available for overnight travel.

About the Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years recent/relevant experience with outside sales.
  • Experience in distribution, industrial, and/or heavy equipment a plus.

About the Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
