Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our team at AssuredPartners. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risk for our clients, working closely with wholesale and retail agents, and carriers to provide specialized insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess risk for new and renewal accounts, ensuring accurate and thorough reviews.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with retail agents, producers, carriers, and coworkers to achieve growth, profit, and production initiatives.
  • Manage a book of new and renewal accounts, setting and attaining goals for production, agency visits, product updates, and loss ratios.
  • Use underwriting discipline to manage loss ratios based on carrier expectations and provide timely and accurate forecasting to management.
  • Participate in and support an interdependent cross-sell environment, providing effective communication, supervision, and development of support staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Active Property and Casualty License required.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and solution-design skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills.
