Feeder/Packer Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Feeder/Packer Trainee to join our team at Sabert. As a Feeder/Packer Trainee, you will be responsible for feeding paper blanks into machines and sorting, as well as packing clamshell or fry cartons, inspecting product for quality, and ensuring product is properly glued.

• Feed a minimum of 4 machines, lifting product, pre-breaking it, and placing it into the feed hopper.
• Maintain 6 formers, taking plastic off loads, and removing tickets to be given to the operator.
• Monitor quality, ensuring cartons are straight, and removing loose scrap. Sort if required by the operator.
• Maintain the R.S.C. inventory and supply the case packers with the R.S.C.'s they need for production.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow all safety requirements, including GMP's, PPE's, and HACCP & JSA regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Packaging experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
• Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in the work area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around machinery.
