Electronics Assembly Technician

Job Summary: CTR Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Assembly Technician for a long-term government project in Chesapeake, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics assembly and testing, with the ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, test, repair, and/or upgrade of product line.
- Ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings, procedures, and BOMs.
- Understand, reference, and comply with IPC-610 & J-Standard-00.
- Perform set-up, assembly, inspection, and rework of PCBs (including hand-soldering of small pitch components).
- Operate a pick-and-place machine for PCB assembly.
- Perform inspection of small pitch components using microscope visual inspection equipment.
- Perform continuity checks and rework as needed.
- Be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, able to perform simple shop math.
Requirements:
- Experience in electronics assembly and testing.
- Strong understanding of assembly drawings and procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend BOMs.
- Knowledge of IPC-610 & J-Standard-00.
- Experience with pick-and-place machines and microscope visual inspection equipment.
