About the Role

This position is a key member of the dosimetry team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in treatment planning systems, record and verify systems, linear accelerators, simulators, CT scanners, HDR units, and radioactive sources commonly used in brachytherapy treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans
  • Provide expertise on treatment planning systems, record and verify systems, and other equipment used in radiation therapy
  • Serve as a resource for staff medical dosimetrists, radiation therapists, simulation therapists, medical physicists, and radiation oncologists
Requirements
  • Meet the education requirements of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) for Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs)
  • Current CMD in good standing
  • Experience with CMS Xio, Philips Pinnacle, MOSAIQ, Tomotherapy, and HDR treatment planning is preferred
