Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Banker to join our team at City National Bank. As a Private Banker, you will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families within a specific market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage client relationships to achieve profitable growth of the portfolio.
  • Provide integrated financial services advice to clients, including banking, credit, asset management, trust and estate planning, and brokerage.
  • Manage overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk.
  • Partner with City National Securities (CNS) Investment Officer (IO) to communicate with clients about current conditions in the financial markets, investment alternatives, asset allocation, and review asset management and brokerage account statements with clients.
  • Discuss changes to strategies with the CNS IO and keep current on client's financial information while ensuring that clients understand the solutions being provided.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following: asset management, banking/credit, personal trust, and brokerage services.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales and relationship management experience in financial services preferably with high net worth clients.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 and 65 or 66.
  • California Insurance License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of all products and services applicable to high net worth clients.
  • Superior knowledge of credit policies and procedures, and bank operations policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
