Job Description

At Grimco, we're seeking a talented Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced business-to-business sales environments and are passionate about driving growth and customer success.

About the Role:

  • This position involves proactively calling existing customers to research trends/needs, build relationships, and provide solutions/recommendations.
  • Responsibilities also include answering customer inquiries concerning products, their uses, distribution, and providing solutions/recommendations.
  • The successful candidate will emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Enter orders, customer information, and purchasing trends into computer systems.
  • Achieve weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual volume and margin sales and GP goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
  • Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Grimco's selling strategies and continuous learning of our product lines.
  • Drive personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available) to outside sales appointments – must have current registration and valid license.
  • Travel for sales visits, special events, and training (local/regional travel 5-25% of time).

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Sales Cycle.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Ability to take direction and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas to respond to customers' needs, wants, and concerns.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customers.
