Trades Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled Trades Technician III to join our team at Charleston County, SC. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in commercial building trades and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, supervise, and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and special projects within the Facilities Management department.
- Repair, install, and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
- Assist with administrative duties such as computer-based work order management, project management, and procurement processes.
- Provide support to building occupants in the absence of the regular supervisor.
- Be available for on-call support on a rotating weekly schedule.
- High school diploma (or GED) and seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience in commercial building trades and maintenance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a building maintenance environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid SC driver's license and ability to pass a SLED criminal background check.
- Ability to meet medical and physical examination requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively within varying levels of management.
