**Community Bank Loan Manager Job Description**

The Symicor Group is seeking an experienced Loan Manager to join our client's team in Mt. Carmel, IL. As a key member of the bank's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the lending business line, ensuring successful service delivery and strategy fulfillment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Establish and implement departmental goals, strategies, and policies aligned with overall bank objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain an interest rate structure that harmonizes with bank management policies, is competitive, and maximizes profitability.
  • SUPERVISE, DIRECT, AND GUIDE LOAN OFFICERS in commercial, agricultural, real estate, and consumer lending.
  • Assist officers with loan requests to the executive loan committee, reviewing major loans approved at the departmental level.
  • Authorize or reject credit requests exceeding the lending authority of the officer handling the loan application.
  • Direct the department's business development activities, leading the team to achieve individual and departmental sales and service goals.
  • Work with Human Resources to perform personnel activities, including job assignment, counseling, and training.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop, implement, and manage lending service strategies and marketing plans to achieve growth and profitability goals.
  • Provide detailed information for preparing the department budget, including projected loan volume, rate of return, and expenditures.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate services and materials to support staff activity.
  • Maintain professional and community relations to increase the bank's visibility and new business opportunities.
  • Analyze, create, monitor, and maintain bank loan assets.
  • Work with Senior Credit Officer to guide repayment and collection activity on bank loan assets.
  • Conduct debtor meetings, produce recommendations, and follow through as servicing officer on assigned non-accrual loans.
  • Participate in unified collection activity on previously charged-off loans.
  • Maintain a liaison with local FSA staff, USDA Rural Development, and Small Business Administration for purchase and administration of guaranteed loans.
  • Engage in educational programs to maintain competency levels in agricultural and commercial lending.
  • Participate on or lead committees as requested.
  • Comply with regulations, policies, and procedures related to the position, including BSA/AML.
  • Maintain confidentiality of bank and customer information.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Business, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Lending experience with proven ability to lead a team.
  • Management skills required to successfully perform planning, directing, reporting, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to positively represent the bank and motivate personnel.
