About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Crothall Healthcare in Chambersburg, PA.

Job Overview

The Electrical Equipment Specialist will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on a broad range of patient care and selected support equipment. This role requires excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance and electrical safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Manage all assigned equipment and schedule service as needed.
  • Develop and maintain PM procedures on equipment and keep files up-to-date.
  • Evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
  • Maintain purchase order log and validate invoices for payment.
  • Provide informal training to equipment users and Crothall Services Group staff as requested.
  • Recommend service strategies on equipment and keep supervisor informed of activities and needs.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement / Risk Management program by gaining an understanding of customer issues and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and functional work environment.
  • Assume emergency on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Document significant asset-related actions in compliance with department practices.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
  • Valid driver's license required for field service positions.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications pertaining to tracking service histories and producing reports on assets.
  • Good trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to serve on-call duty as required.
Compensation:

Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
