Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bench Jeweler to join our team at The CAZA Collective. As a Bench Jeweler, you will be responsible for performing a variety of bench work including jewelry repairs, stone setting, and working with precious metals like gold, platinum, and silver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic repairs, including ring resizing, soldering, prong repairs, and head replacements with precision and care.
- Work with various precious metals to ensure all repair work meets the company's high standards of quality.
- Expertly set and repair diamonds and colored gemstones, ensuring a flawless finish.
- Perform advanced tasks, such as custom jewelry creation, as needed.
- Use of Tools: Experience with laser welders is preferred, but traditional techniques are highly valued.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to provide accurate estimates on repair timelines and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally advise customers on repairs and services, contributing to a welcoming and trusted environment.
- Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in bench work focusing on jewelry repairs.
- Skills: Proficient in repairs such as ring resizing, soldering, and working with precious metals (gold, platinum, silver).
- Stone Setting: Strong expertise with diamonds and colored stones, ensuring a high standard of work.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools such as laser welders is a plus, though not required.
- Custom Work: Experience in custom jewelry creation is a bonus.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and high craftsmanship in handling fine jewelry.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with jewelers and sales associates.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a refined appearance consistent with a luxury retail environment.
