We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at the State of New York's ITS department. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support for desktop applications and systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Job Overview:

In this role, you will work closely with our IT specialists to resolve technical issues, install and configure software, and troubleshoot hardware problems. Your strong analytical skills and ability to think critically will be essential in identifying and resolving complex technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to clients via phone, email, or in-person
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware
  • Collaborate with IT specialists to resolve technical issues
  • Document diagnostic steps and solutions for future reference
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with new technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in technical support or related field
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and network protocols
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
