About the Role:

At Panasonic North America, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team. Job Summary:

The Procurement Strategist will be responsible for procuring goods and services that support our business objectives, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, develop category strategies, and implement effective procurement plans that drive cost savings and add value to our business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Category Management: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify leading practices, monitor fluctuations in demand and supply, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier capabilities, facilitate the identification of prospective new suppliers, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Engage collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements, ensure prompt and quality support, and facilitate the integration of new suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant purchasing experience, demonstrating a track record of success in progressively complex roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, financial acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and project management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in utilizing ERP systems, specifically SAP S/4HANA OR SAP Ariba.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and analytics.
