**Job Summary**


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.


**Responsibilities**



  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and identifying and addressing potential issues
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members and support the hotel's commitment to excellent guest service

**Requirements**



  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
