Overview

Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services, seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineering Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a nationally based engineering firm rapidly growing in the renewables space.

Job Summary

The Transmission Line Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers, providing QA/QC on projects ranging from 69kV- 230kV, with some data center projects up to 750kV. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, and EITs will be considered for leadership roles.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Schedule Review Meetings with project participants and coordinate requirements to ensure resources focus on key activities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external departments to achieve project resolution.
  • Issue project deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Provide support, advice, and training to design and engineer staff as needed.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Transmission Line Engineering.
  • Ability to calculate forces acting on structures and equipment, resolve geometric and trigonometric problems, and determine geographical positions and force directions.
  • Familiarity with computer-based tools, including PLS-CADD/Pole, LPile, MFad, STAAD, Risa 3D, and Microstation.
  • PE license required (EIT considered).
Location

This is a hybrid opportunity to work in one of our offices: Philadelphia, PA; Orlando, FL; Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas or Austin, TX.
