Job Summary

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II/III to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will provide financial management support to the Chief Financial Officer and other laboratory business leaders, program managers, project managers, and other NREL staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial planning and analysis support to program and project managers
• Develop and maintain financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
• Collaborate with the contracting team to ensure negotiated payment schedules support project cash flow needs
• Monitor and evaluate reasonableness and accuracy of financial plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and 2+ years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use various computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of relational database/data warehouse query/retrieval skills

What We Offer

NREL offers a competitive salary range of $63,600 - $104,900, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, pension benefits, 403(b) Employee Savings Plan with employer match, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, personal time off (PTO) and sick leave, paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.
