We are seeking a seasoned Culinary Operations Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences and food quality at Aramark, serving the University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a team of culinary professionals, overseeing all related kitchen activities
  • Estimate and manage food consumption, coordinating purchases and inventory
  • Select, develop, and standardize recipes to ensure consistent high-quality dishes
  • Establish presentation standards, plan menus, and oversee pricing strategies
  • Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Promote special catering events and provide culinary training as needed

Key Requirements:

  • Healthcare experience preferred, with knowledge of union environments beneficial
  • 2-3 years of management experience in a related position required
  • Post-high school education or equivalent experience preferred, with a culinary degree advantageous
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and practices, as well as people management skills, necessary
  • Excellent communication skills essential
