We are seeking a highly skilled Travel CT Technologist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Tucson, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients. This includes ensuring patient comfort and safety, preparing the imaging equipment, and assisting the healthcare team in obtaining diagnostic information.

This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience, with opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in CT imaging technology. As a Travel CT Technologist, you will have the chance to work with diverse patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation and Communication:
    • Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable.
    • Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
    • Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operation of CT Equipment:
    • Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
    • Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.
    • Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured and that no errors occur during the process.
  • Image Quality and Review:
    • Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards.
    • Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
    • Repeat or adjust scans as necessary to improve image quality or ensure comprehensive imaging coverage.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week. However, this figure may vary depending on individual circumstances and is subject to confirmation.
