Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in the Accounting Department, focusing on the reconciliation of financial data, recording journal entries, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile general ledger accounts with corresponding subledger records.
• Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries for business transactions.
• Oversee daily cash postings and ensure accuracy.
• File tax documentation with relevant government entities.
• Reconcile various financial accounts, including cash disbursements, payroll, and customer accounts.
• Verify and process payments for accounts payable, ensuring correct account allocation.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reports.
• Monitor and report on open receivables and general ledger activities.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Utilize effective communication to collaborate with other departments.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of an associate's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and independently; highly organized and detail-oriented.
