Job Description:

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and support in our medical office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and administrative tasks. Additionally, you will maintain accurate medical records, prepare lab specimens, and provide education to patients.

About the Job:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and other necessary clinical information.
  • Assist with office procedures and treatments as defined.
  • Prepare lab specimens for reference labs in accordance with laboratory guidelines.
  • Work with providers to develop discharge instructions and ensure patient follow-up and education.
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Ensure exam rooms are cleaned between patients and at the end of the day.
  • Assist with case management duties, including advocating, coordinating referrals, and support to enhance care plan adherence for patients.
  • Perform other administrative and/or clinical duties as assigned to meet practice goals and objectives.

Requirements:

We are seeking a certified medical assistant who is bilingual in Spanish and English, has CPR/BLS certification, and experience with EMR systems. A driver's license and transportation are also required.
