Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Administrator to join our team at Eversource Energy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing contract requirements, negotiating with vendors, and monitoring contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze contract terms, negotiate with vendors, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Review benchmarking studies and analyze contractor cost/performance to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage schedules and ensure vendor availability and skill sets meet the needs of Eversource customers.
  • Monitor construction work and assist in the administration of contract claims and change order process.
  • Manage invoice processing and resolve any invoice questions or discrepancies.
  • Analyze invoice process for efficiencies and make recommendations for increased use of EDI where appropriate.
  • Participate in negotiation process to establish contract structure, price, terms, and conditions.
  • Review upcoming projects and make recommendations for bidding vs. using blanket contractors.
  • Participate in Purchasing's Contract Admin Task Force (CATF) as Eversource's representative.
  • Review and ensure all Eversource Service Contracts are formally closed to avoid improper avenues for future charges.
  • Approve access to contractor web pages on the Eversource website.
  • Ensure contractors are aware of and receive updated GO's, procedures, Engineering News issues, and other correspondence requiring acknowledgement.
  • Administer safety-sensitive position requirements for all Eversource purchase orders.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and Projects is required.
  • Develop and analyze contract terms, negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of contracting principles and legal terms/conditions and purchasing principles is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or an equivalent degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • MBA is desirable.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in contract administration, purchasing, or legal experience is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
