Career Opportunity as MRI Technologist at BASS
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team at BASS Medical Group. As an MRI Technologist with our organization, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to produce detailed images of the body's internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Perform MRI procedures on patients with a valid referral from a medical provider.
- Explain the MRI procedure to patients and address their concerns throughout the process.
- Maintain open communication with patients and healthcare staff during the MRI procedure.
- Follow Radiologist protocols and ordering providers' orders while conducting MRI procedures.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
- Ensure attention to detail and multitasking skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of safe MRI practices as outlined by the ACR (American College of Radiology).
- Submit images for re-accreditation every four years, adhering to ACR guidelines.
- Comply with safety regulations to protect patients, staff members, and yourself.
- Call for service when necessary to maintain MRI equipment functionality.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and maintain accurate logs.
- Possess venipuncture licensure and ability to administer contrast injections.
- Communicate STAT results to the Radiologist and follow up with referring providers.
- Stay informed about budget guidelines for ordering supplies.
- Attend staff meetings, which may take place outside regular office hours.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the practice manager to address any related issues.
- Consult with the Radiologist on MRI best practices as needed.
- Perform additional duties assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), CRT (Certified Registered Technologist) certifications, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers, and venipuncture licensure.
- Prior experience working with 3T MRI machines is preferred.
- Ability to work Thursday through Sunday, with variable hours between 4-10 hours per shift.
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
- Sufficient physical stamina and strength to maneuver patients and MRI coils safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently, carry out assignments, and meet parameters of instructions given.

Salary and Pay Scale
The estimated salary range for this position is $37.00-$57.00 per hour, with actual pay rates determined based on factors such as job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience.
