About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Examiner to perform disability assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's benefits process.

This is an in-person position that requires reviewing medical records electronically and performing focused physical exams on each Veteran.

The selected candidate will document exam findings through a web portal, but does not make disability determinations – this decision rests with the United States Veterans Administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform independent medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
  • Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
  • Skilled in time management and able to meet requirements
  • Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license

$65,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience. Benefits include training and continued support, health insurance options, a computer supplied by the employer, and a set schedule during normal business hours with no on-call duties.
