Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join our team at Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. This senior-level position will be responsible for managing complex environmental remediation projects, preparing technical reports, and overseeing remedial/removal actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management, including preparing technical reports, development and oversight of remedial/removal actions, field sampling and field procedures, and supervision of soil and groundwater investigations.
  • Business development and preparation of proposals, personnel supervision, and assistance in staff development/mentoring in technical areas.
  • Managing and preparing project proposals, including authoring technical approach content.
  • Leading and managing staff, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring work is completed as expected.
  • Developing expertise and internal reputation as a technical resource in environmental remediation.
  • Understanding all aspects of project management, including scope, scheduling, cost controls, and cost tracking.
  • Maintaining client expectations and communicating regularly with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Reporting project status to manager and serving as a technical reviewer for technical reports.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental, engineering, or water resource consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite Products.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time to project sites, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or chemistry.
  • M.S. degree.
  • P.E./P.G. and/or other professional certifications.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including operations start-up and close-out.
  • Previous involvement in preparing or contributing technical content and cost information to project proposals.
