Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician I to join our team at Northern Light Acadia Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed">
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans">
  • Conduct milieu activities, such as group therapy sessions and recreational activities, to promote patient engagement and socialization">
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes">
  • Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred">
  • Completion of a psychiatric technician program or related training; certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) preferred">
  • At least 3 years of experience in a mental health setting; or 7 years of experience in a related field">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment">
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing mental health care; ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines">
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods; and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays">

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plan; paid time off; and opportunities for professional growth and development.
