Job Description:

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team in this PRN Days role. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of speech language pathology.

Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to improve cognitive skills, language comprehension, and expression.
  2. Administer and interpret tests and measurements to assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  3. Develop functional goals based on patient and family expectations and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve them.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in speech language pathology.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders required.
  • State licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required.
  • Preferred experience with modified barium swallow exams.
