**Job Overview:** As a CNC Machinist Craftsman, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process. We are seeking an experienced professional to set up, service, and operate complex machinery using methods and tooling sheets as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup and Operation: Reads blueprint, methods sheets, gage list, and work order to determine required tooling and operational sequences.
  • Tool Installation and Adjustment: Installs and adjusts alignment of tooling such as drills, cutters, dies, and holding devices.
  • Machine Verification: Verifies machine settings and gear and pulley selection.
  • Workpiece Positioning: Monitors machine operation and moves controls to align and adjust position of work pieces.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspects first-piece and verifies conformance at machine setup.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Performs basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment.
  • Communication: Communicates quality, safety, or machinery problems to Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: One (1) year of related experience operating machinery.
  • Skillset: Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.

Physical Demands:

  • Continuous Activities: Stand, walk, use hands, reach, and talk or hear.
  • Frequent Activities: Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Lifting Requirements: Lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • PPE Requirements: Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as governed by OSHA.
