Job Description

The Surgical Technician is accountable for assisting the surgical team to provide patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical team with preparing patients for surgery
• Maintain a safe and clean operating room environment
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology education program or 5 years relevant experience required
• 6 months experience required, 3-5 years' experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Credentialed (current) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• National Center for Competency Testing as Certified Surgical Technologist
• Basic Life Support certification required
