Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to interact effectively with varying populations, and have knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing exam rooms, treatment rooms, and supplies.
- Take patient vital signs and record in medical charts.
- Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and other lab testing as indicated.
- Maintain patient records and reports.
- Assist with collections and billing procedures.
- Identify and respond to issues of confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CMA-NHA, CMA-NCCT, CMA-AAMA, RMA-AMT, RMA-NAHP, AMCA, or NCMA certification.
Schedule Notes:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts. 3-5 years of prior experience preferred. Willingness to travel to St. Peters and Old Bridge offices 1-2 times per week.
