As a Sourcing Specialist at Cummins, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's supply chain strategy. Your expertise in cost and value management will enable you to establish and control product and service costs, ensuring that we deliver and track products and services at competitive prices.

You will utilize your knowledge of systems and process development to improve and complete work at a team and department level, eliminating system and process inefficiencies and roadblocks. Additionally, you will identify and manage supplier risk by performing supplier risk analysis, including financial analysis and identifying potential supply chain disruptions.

With a strong focus on quality management, you will implement Corrective and Preventive Action activities and procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize costs. Your ability to manage supplier relationships using agreed processes will consistently deliver value to the organization and the supplier.

As a key member of the Cummins team, you will establish and develop category strategies using the Total Value Performance (TVP) approach to define the Supply Base, Tooling, and Technology Strategy to meet all current and future needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading markets analysis and cost and value management initiatives
  • Developing systems and sourcing process improvements
  • Conducting supplier risk analysis and quality management
  • Managing supplier relationships and category strategies
  • Performing complex financial analysis and providing guidance and influence decisions

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field
  • 3 years of experience as a Sourcing or Supply Chain Analyst or Planner, Functional Excellence or Sourcing Specialist, or related position

Position Type: Remote

Location: Columbus, IN and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.

Annual USD Salary Minimum – Maximum $80,766 - $110,400
