Position Summary: As a Major Gifts Officer in New Jersey, you will develop and implement a major gifts program. Your responsibilities include identifying, researching, managing, and implementing solicitation plans for a portfolio of major donors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated success in philanthropic fundraising, including direct solicitation of and securing major gifts.
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey Jewish community culture and traditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing a fundraising plan.
  • Ability to articulate organizational goals related to building an effective philanthropy strategy.
  • Sincere and genuine interest in the mission of FIDF.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present oneself effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, along with the ability to lead with integrity and inspiration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary relationship manager with a portfolio of major donors and prospects ($5,000+).
  • Cultivate, steward, and build trusted relationships with major donors and prospective major donors to generate new and increased giving.
  • Manage planning and implementation of some fundraising events, such as soldier visits, parlor meetings, and speaking engagements.
  • Use Raiser's Edge to maximize fundraising results.
  • Recruit attendees for missions to Israel.

Benefits and Compensation: This role offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
