Diagnostic Sonographer Opportunity at PeaceHealth

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at the Kearney Breast Center on the PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center campus in Vancouver, Washington. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasound equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment in various modes and techniques.
  • Record test results, prepare accurate preliminary reports, and update patient records for interpreting physicians.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, and order necessary supplies.
  • Use independent judgment during exams to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
  • Integrate previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exams.

Requirements:

  • Accredited School of Ultrasound Sonography required, or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by the national registry through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Minimum of 1 year diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital facility preferred.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required within 1 year.
