Global Product Service Manager

Twin Disc Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Global Product Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global service strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs. This includes planning resources and ensuring the capability to meet customer demands globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a global service strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Plan resources and ensure the capability to meet customer demands globally.
  • Intervene on behalf of the customer to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Handle escalated issues and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints or technical challenges.
  • Oversee the Field Service group at all locations, directing meetings to resolve issues such as quality and design problems, installation difficulties, and warranty claim.
  • Make periodic calls on customers and distributors for product support discussions involving problems, parts, response times, design, and performance.
  • Assign special work duties to each group within the department.
  • Manage the warranty function, working with the Warranty Administrators on any questionable situations regarding warranty coverage and operation.
  • Manage the Technical Writing Department, ensuring the production of all service manuals, technical letters, troubleshooting guides, and training material are up-to-date and distributed globally.
  • Standardize global service processes, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service across all regions.
  • Manage the global training program, reviewing classes offered, locations, attendance, demo units, and budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and expansion.
  • Develop and maintain an effective department through proper selection and management of personnel.
  • Supervise 4 to 10 direct reports, including interviewing, selection, work direction, training, and performance reviews.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in product application, design or testing or equivalent degree and experience.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills that allow being able to work with people in all levels of the organization and with the wide variety of external customers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Good listening skills in order to determine needs of customers and employees.
  • Diplomacy skills, with the ability to work effectively and gain cooperation from a diverse group of individuals.
  • Knowledge of Twin Disc products and applications.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems appropriately.
  • Ability to understand product issues and effectively communicate findings to customers.
  • Valid Passport.

Work Environment:
  • Racine, Wisconsin.
  • Travel required for customer and Twin Disc entity visits both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to work under a variety of circumstances, including difficult customer situations.

Specialized Knowledge:
  • Skilled in the areas of gearing, clutches, electronics, hydraulic systems and material processes.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.

Other Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing time constraints.
