Job Summary


The Department of Water Resources seeks a skilled Hydroelectric Plant Electrician II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of large hydroelectric plant and aqueduct electrical equipment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, including generators, pump-turbines, CO2 fire protection systems, alarm systems, and large motors
  • Work at all voltage levels and with various electrical control devices associated with the equipment
  • Collaborate with a crew to ensure efficient and safe electrical work
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment condition


Requirements

  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent electrical knowledge and problem-solving skills
