Job Description

Insero Talent Solutions is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team in Rochester, NY.

Job Summary: To deliver exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations by performing the following duties, 12 to 40 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Understand and uphold the company's core values.
  2. Provide professional, personable, and timely customer service.
  3. Assist customers with purchasing items by answering inquiries and providing product and price information.
  4. Process customer orders in a courteous manner.
  5. Apply suggestive selling techniques when assisting customers.
  6. Complete appropriate paperwork for customer's orders, comments, and requests.
  7. Apply knowledge of store products and services on a daily basis.
  8. Receive and accurately process payments for purchases through the point-of-sale system.
  9. Process returns, including completing appropriate paperwork, exchanging merchandise, and generating credit receipts as needed.
  10. Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times.
  11. Responsible for effectively merchandising products within the work area, including upkeep of existing displays.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate's degree preferred. One year prior customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as product catalogs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence and reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the store.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, email, internet, Microsoft Excel, and Retail-pro.
