Per Diem Emergency Department RN

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department RN to join our team on a per diem basis. To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following certifications:
- ACLS (AHA) certification is required
- BLS (AHA) certification is required
- NIH Stroke Certification is preferred
- PALS (AHA) certification is preferred
This per diem position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty. You will be working in a non-trauma Emergency Department at a Stroke Certified Facility. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing care to patients with a range of conditions, including those requiring blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy
- Starting IVs and administering continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
- Providing procedural sedation and caring for ventilated patients
- Interpreting ABGs and following isolation precautions
- Using EPIC and other relevant systems to manage patient care
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
- EPIC experience is required
This per diem position requires 12-hour shifts, and you must be comfortable working independently without orientation. You will be responsible for completing up to 10 hours of Providence and specialty-specific modules before being cleared to work.
Additional DetailsPlease note that this is a per diem position, and you will be working on a variable schedule. You will be responsible for managing your own time and ensuring that you meet the requirements of the role.
