Project Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Management Specialist/Scheduler to join our team at Thermometrics Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring all project activities are on track and within scope. You will work closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules, identifying key tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Utilize scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate the allocation of resources (people, equipment, materials) across tasks, ensuring resources are available as needed to meet project milestones.
- Monitor and Track Progress: Track project progress, ensuring adherence to the established timeline. Identify any delays or variances and provide updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Critical Path Analysis: Perform critical path analysis to identify key activities that could affect the overall project timeline. Ensure that these activities are prioritized to avoid delays.
- Schedule Updates and Adjustments: Regularly update project schedules to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, or project direction. Communicate these changes to all relevant parties.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify scheduling risks and collaborate with project teams to develop contingency plans to mitigate potential delays.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, logistics, and other teams to ensure that project activities are integrated and align with the overall project goals.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular status reports to project managers, stakeholders, and senior management, detailing progress, risks, and any schedule changes.
- Support Project Execution: Assist the project manager with overall project coordination, ensuring that timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations are in line with the project objectives.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of project schedules, updates, changes, and decisions related to the project timeline.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Experience with ERP systems and resource management tools is a plus.
- Project Management Methodologies: Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Critical Path Method (CPM), PERT, and Agile frameworks.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present schedule updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential scheduling issues and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in project scheduling, project coordination, or project management.
- Advanced Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for reporting purposes.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in industries such as aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or other industries with complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
