Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Health Educator Intern in the Central Valley region. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in behavioral health education, community outreach, and event participation.

About the Role

As a Community Health Educator Intern, you will support our Community Engagement Leads (CELs) in promoting social and emotional well-being among children and families as part of the BrightLife Kids program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing Brightline at community events, school fairs, and other gatherings to educate parents about our services and the importance of child mental well-being.
  • Providing informative materials and conducting engaging discussions to raise awareness about child behavioral health.
  • Assisting in initiating outreach efforts via email, phone calls, and in-person meetings to establish connections with stakeholders in schools, faith-based organizations, and community groups.
  • Supporting CELs in developing and implementing outreach and marketing strategies tailored to specific communities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to a minimum of 8 hours per week to community events.
  • Diligence and professionalism in performing all required tasks and functions.
  • The ability to attend supervision, intern, and other meetings as requested and scheduled.
  • A strong sense of personal initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak in front of groups.
  • A passion for working with multicultural populations and experience in public or community health is a plus.
