Job Description

Nursing is a dynamic and rewarding profession that involves assessing and treating human responses to health problems. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who are acutely ill and require complex care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients and families to identify their needs and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Maintaining education and competencies to provide high-quality patient care and skills.
  • Applying evidence-based nursing practice to develop and implement plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Establishing realistic and measurable patient outcomes based on nursing diagnoses, patient capabilities, and available resources.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Fulfilling all organizational requirements and participating in ongoing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications
  • An Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Professional RN experience is preferred.
  • Medical/Surgical experience is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
  • A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • A Certified Medical Surgical RN (CMSRN) certification is preferred.
Physical Demands
  • This role requires medium work, including lifting up to 32 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
