Medical Laboratory Scientist Position in Central Georgia

About the RoleThis is a permanent and full-time position in the Blood Bank Department. The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory examinations and tests, including specialized or experimental procedures, to ensure rapid and accurate results.
Key Responsibilities- Performing laboratory examinations and tests, including specialized or experimental procedures
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Ensuring accurate and timely results
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including a minimum of 30 quarter hours of lecture science, with at least 15 quarter hours of chemistry, 10 quarter hours of biology, and 5 quarter hours of math
- Registration as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, or registry eligible
- Candidates must pass an approved certification exam within twelve months of placement in this occupational classification
