Job Title: Counter Sales Associate

At Watsco, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our wholesale HVAC distributorships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Watsco as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized sales environment.
  • Assist in resolving customer relations problems, providing timely and effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Complete sales order processes, with a focus on up-selling associated items and driving revenue growth.
  • Service walk-in and telephone customers, providing expert advice and support to meet customer needs.
  • Provide customer product and service needs by researching products via computer systems, catalogs, and other reference sources.
  • Arrange stock on shelves or racks in sales areas, maintaining a clean and organized sales environment.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques and up-sell to current and prospective customers, driving sales growth and revenue.
  • Conduct outgoing customer sales or service calls, resolving customer complaints and providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong background in technical support, HVAC parts, and customer service/sales.
  • Intermediate MS Office capabilities, with the ability to work independently and meet assigned goals and objectives.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including sales, problem-solving, and customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently, with a focus on meeting assigned goals and objectives.
  • Excellent customer service mindset, with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
