Early Childhood Educator

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to guide a team of teacher assistants and volunteers in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to maintain accurate records and files.
Duties
- Develop and implement educational curriculum by planning age-appropriate activities and coordinating with the teaching team.
- Lead by example and model effective teaching practices to ensure the success of the teaching team.
- Communicate effectively with parents through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure the classroom environment is safe, healthy, and secure.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High energy and ability to work well with others.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
