About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at Nuvance Health.

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting patients to testing areas and in-patient rooms
  • Stocking and restocking oxygen cabinets and closets
  • Picking up supplies and blood products as needed
  • Assisting in turning over rooms for the next patient

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Conversational English language skills and ability to understand and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages and abilities

Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Manual skills and motor coordination
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force
  • Exposure to a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to dirt, odors, and noise
