Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. The ideal candidate will coordinate daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Document patient history pertaining to specific procedures on requisitions submitted by physicians.
- Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and validation of proof of identity.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
- Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
- Select and operate equipment according to individual procedure demands and demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a formal Radiology Technology Program degree from an AMA-approved facility and be registered by the ARRT. One year of direct patient care work experience is preferred, and BLS certification is required per policy guidelines.
