Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic After-School Clubs Facilitator to join our team at Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. As a member of our After-School Programming team, you will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality programming to elementary-age school girls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging After-School Clubs programming in after-school settings at assigned locations throughout the 18-county Council area.
  • Attend all facilitator trainings and weekly meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate online and physical records, including attendance records, behavior management documentation, and registration forms.
  • Act as a positive role model for participants, promoting self-confidence, social-emotional skills, and volunteerism.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity, accepting girls from all racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Follow Girl Scout health, safety, and program standards, as well as personnel policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, including Girl Scouts After-School Clubs staff and other facilitators.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, encouraging their involvement with the Girl Scouts program.
  • Address behavior problems using appropriate measures.
  • Travel to different school sites daily, using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree, or complete minimum child development credits (12), or meet the state instructional aide requirements and pass the instructional aide exam.
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • Ability to work with children in at-risk environments.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to recognizing and respecting diversity.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, enthusiasm, and patience.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Have reliable transportation, a good driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
