About the Role

Sun Chemical is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team at the Peekskill site. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing project management and project engineering for the development and execution of capital projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical process manufacturing and experience in capital project management. You will lead all phases of assigned capital and/or expense projects, including scope development, detailed design, cost estimating, authorization request development, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and EHS Reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of assigned capital and/or expense projects
  • Develop and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years experience in a chemical process manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years experience in capital project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic AutoCAD skills

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer license
